Mixed Lentils 🥣

This is a very easy mixed lentils recipe that goes well with some hot steamed rice or bread of your choice!!

This is my comfort food!!♥️

When you want to turn it into a one pot recipe just put the tempering ingredients in the pressure cooker first and then add the lentils😉

Recipe 🍴

• In a pressure cooker, put all the lentils of your choice. I used split chickpea lentil(chana dal), split mung beans, pigeon peas(toor dal), black gram and red lentils(all taken in equal proportion)
• Add in salt, turmeric and water. Pressure cook it till the lentils become nice and soft
• I also added in a can of kidney beans later

Tempering ~
• In a pan heat little oil of your choice(I used a tsp of ghee)
• Add in some chopped garlic,green chili and a tsp of cumin seeds
• Add in a pinch of asafoetida
• Add in some finely chopped onions and some grated ginger
• Once the onions turn golden brown in color add in a tsp of coriander powder and a tsp of red chili powder
• Cook it for a min and add in a cup of chopped tomatoes
• When the tomatoes turn tender, add in some kasuri meethi and a pinch of garam masala powder(optional)
• Put the tampering in the cooked lentils

I like to add a dollop of yogurt while serving it😋

Going to enjoy this with some hot steamed rice today. The much need therapy I needed 😇
